From the moment we saw this artwork, we knew that we wanted to create a puzzle from this image! It is an exact resemblance of all the beautiful and unique native plants and bushes that Australia has in their back gardens. We loved the tin that was used for the vase as it gave a cute quirkiness to the image and created some text which makes a fun build.
We have built the pieces to also resemble the gumnut branches and flowers, which you will see come to life as you start. The vibrancy of this watercolour painting is spectacular, and Debra has captured the realism and colours in this piece.
About the artist:
Sydney based artist, Debra Meier started creating, drawing and painting when she was a little girl. After studying visual arts, she started her career in textile design working for large design studios, printers and fashion houses. Many years later, she decided to swop from computer screens to paper and started painting vibrant watercolours. She shares her joy of painting by creating, drawing and painting colourful and vibrant images of nature, native plants and birds.

Loved this colourful & challenging puzzle. The uniquely shaped pieces were fun to put together. 276 pieces were enough to be able to do over a couple of days & feel very satisfied when it was complete.
Recipient lived the jigsaw. It is unique. Told her to not ring me but to ring you guys if she has any issues or can’t do it. Ha ha.
Love doing the Twigg puzzles. They are just enough of a challenge to make your brain work. Even my 18 year old Grandson loves doing them.
What a challenge, but a great way to spend a cold and wet weekend. The unconventional shapes of the pieces really are works of art.
