If you are anything like me , I can spend hours and even days on the hunt for the perfect gift for the special people in my life. I love finding something that is unique and different yet perfect for what they enjoy. But I guess for me, the wrapping of the gift is as important as the gift itself.
With so many choices out there, I thought I would pop in some ideas that help me create and make my gift wrapping that are always unique and special to the person receiving it.
We all realize that any gift given from the heart can cause a lot of positive emotions that is good for the heart & soul.
Tips and ideas that you can create your perfect gift the eco-friendly way:
1. Create and design and draw your own wrapping paper
Use stamps, stickers and markers to jazz up any paper that you may find. It also gives you a great opportunity to customize the items that you use to reflect the persons special interests or hobbies.
2. Try to make use of the natural flora and fauna around you
A fresh flower or leaf brings a beautiful fragrance and natural look to your gift.
By using cones, spruce twigs, straw and natural rope, you can make a stylish package in a trendy eco-style.
These materials are really easy to find – just take a stroll and gather acorns, feathers, pine cones, fir twigs, dry branches or some berries from the park or woods nearby.
3. Use brown paper, old music sheets or newspaper as wrapping
It is better to choose a very simple wrapping paper so that it served as a backdrop to your gift topper. Brown paper with the right decoration is wonderful for original wrapping. 8. Use of wooden chips/rafia as fillers
With the amount of lockdowns this past year, the ability to want to courier your gift to the person is a reality. Rather make use of wood or paper fillers/chips instead of polystyrene or plastic bubble wrap.
9. Using wax to create unusual effects
Melting wax from candles or crayons can make an awesome stamp or unique shape of any kind to brighten up and create a different and unique dimension to your gift.
10.Make use of glass jars
Glass can be filled with various layers of ingredients or smaller items and then can be used afterwards as an item in the pantry or a vase. Glass makes for a durable and long lasting packaging that can be decorated with stickers, chalk or lights.
